Overview

EdPort ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting the privacy of your students' records and your personal information. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that data.

Data We Collect

• Account information: Name, email address, and password when you create an account.
• Homeschool group information: Group name, logo, and configuration settings.
• Student records: Names, grade levels, attendance records, report cards, and documents that you enter or upload.
• Billing information: Payment is processed by Stripe. We do not store your credit card number.
• Usage data: Basic analytics about how the application is used, to help us improve EdPort.

How We Use Your Data

• To provide and maintain the EdPort service
• To send transactional emails (e.g., account confirmation, password reset, teacher invitations)
• To send notification reminders configured by your homeschool group administrator
• To process subscription payments
• To improve EdPort features and performance

We never sell, rent, or share your student records or personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.

Data Storage & Security

All data is stored securely in the cloud using industry-standard encryption at rest and in transit. We use Supabase for database and file storage, which operates on AWS infrastructure.

Your Rights

• Homeschool group administrators can export all group data (students, attendance, grades, courses) as a CSV at any time from Group Settings → Data Export.
• Homeschool group administrators can generate a comprehensive Student Records Packet PDF for any individual student at any time.
• Parent/teacher users do not have data export access — only homeschool group administrators can export records.
• You can request deletion of your account and all associated data by contacting us at support@edportapp.com.
• You can update your personal information from your account profile page.

Cookies

EdPort uses cookies only for authentication purposes — to keep you logged in. We do not use tracking cookies or third-party advertising cookies.
